Anne Leatherland
I have always been a singer but only came to formal singing training in my late 20s when, as a science teacher, I found myself producing school musicals! I simply wanted to know more and explore what my voice could really do. So, whilst training with Coral Gould MBE I gained my LGSM teaching diploma and left school teaching behind to run my own studio.
After about ten successful years of this I was hungry for further training. I undertook the Vocal Process Accreditation programme with Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher, becoming their first Accredited Associate Trainer in 2012 and a Van Lawrence Finalist in 2014.
There followed eight years of working with Musical Theatre and Acting Undergraduates at Liverpool Theatre School and LIPA, training them in Singing, Singing Technique and speaking voice for Acting. At this time, I also worked alongside Vocal Process teaching on their courses and Teaching Accreditation Programme, and continue to do so.
In the past five years I have also changed and developed my own business, VocAL Intuition. It had become obvious to me that voice use depends not only on physical processes, but also on the way we see ourselves. So, as part of my own development I took a training course in Life Coaching, completing this in 2020 with over two hundred hours of training and practice. I am now passionate about integrating this coaching with my voice training, in both singing and speaking.
My current clients include singers, singing teachers, business people wishing to improve their speech and communication skills, and clients referred from the voice clinic for vocal habilitation work.
In my downtime I love drawing, photography, walking, books, acoustics and going to shows and plays!

Kindness through performing arts
I want every student I teach to understand that their voice is unique with the power to impact other people’s lives. Because I am passionate about how performers can use music and songs to connect with an audience, I set up my own Academy in television, film and musical theatre – StageScreen – coaching vocals, choreography and acting, and specialising in working with performers aged 8-18.
I’m an experienced performer myself and love working with actors and dancers who want to sing in musical theatre (it’s where I started). In a typical session we’ll use story telling through song and healthy vocal techniques to help you find your connection to the music, lyrics and movement.
I began studying with Vocal Process over 15 years ago, and am now a Musical Theatre lecturer, a performing arts adjudicator, and, most recently, the new creative director at Promising Productions

Jackie Harrison
I’m an accredited singing teacher with over 30 years professional experience as a performer and teacher. In a typical lesson I like to find out what each student wants to sing, then we’ll do a physical and vocal warmup, a targeted vocal exercise and a sing. We always discuss the lyrics and meaning of a song too.
I love teaching teenagers working towards GCSEs or auditioning for Uni, and I like working with absolute beginners of any age. Many of my adult beginners will ask me to sing with them so they can experiment with harmonies.
In my private studio (Now Sing) I’ve helped hundreds of children and adults on the journey to becoming better singers, with outstanding results.
I recently launched Little Voices North Hampshire, a franchised singing and drama school, which now operates from four locations providing singing and acting lessons for students aged 4-18.
I appear regularly as a professional singer with various bands and artists, and I love singing and teaching popular music vocals, musical theatre and particularly pop.
